Paul Whitfield

Paul set up Fox Whitfield in 2010, he runs the central office in Didsbury and manages the Firm as its Principal.

With over 10 years experience of advising almost exclusively on employment law Paul has built up a strong reputation for providing practical and honest advise to employers and employees.

Paul has acted for all sizes of employers from international investment banks going through large scale collective redundancy programmes to small local employers with Employment law issues with their staff. He regularly appears as an advocate in the Employment Tribunals representing his clients. Paul also has considerable experience and expertise in High Court disputes including team moves, restrictive covenants, protective injunctions and confidentiality.

He has advised on and successfully negotiated over 500 compromise agreements to date for both employees and employers. He also has considerable experience of dealing with complex bullying, harassment and whistle blowing claims.

Paul is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society.

Peter Krick

Peter heads up Fox Whitfield’s Lincolnshire office.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1985 Peter has dealt with a broad spectrum of employment cases and also deals with civil litigation.

Peter’s experience allows him to deliver proactive, practical and cost effective advice and assistance to both employers and employees at all stages of the employment relationship.

Over the past decade Peter has focused upon employment law and has advised extensively in connection with all stages of business development from start-up to multi million pound mergers and acquisitions involving due diligence and harmonisation of employment terms and conditions.

Peter regularly appears as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal where he acts for both employers and employees.

He regularly advises employers and employees upon policies and procedures in the workplace and the preparation of compromise agreements and provides guidance and representation in connection with claims arising out of redundancy, dismissal, harassment and discrimination.

Peter is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Nottingham Tribunal Users Group, and is recommended in the “Good Lawyer” guide.

Jill Shields

Jill heads up Fox Whitfield’s Cheshire office.

Jill qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and specialises in employment law. Prior to joining FoxWhitfield she ran her own Employment Law consultancy. Her extensive legal experience includes advising individuals and companies throughout the North West on all aspects of redundancy, TUPE, unfair/wrongful dismissal proceedings, Performance Management, Absence Management, Capability, Advice on Disciplinary and Grievance Meetings and the new Equality Act, the Bribery Act and the incoming Agency Workers Regulations. Having also been an owner/manager of commercial companies she fully understands the pressures that exist in the workplace from both employer’s and employee’s perspective.
